Please feel free to call us at any time during our regular office hours. Teachers may be reached at school from 7:55 a.m. to 3:35 p.m. Bilingual translators (Spanish/English) are available to help you 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Principal's Message: August 2009

Kindergarten

  • 1 pair Fiskar’s scissors
  • 1 package #2 pencils
  • 1 eraser
  • 1 package crayons (either 16 or 24 size)
  • 6-10 glue sticks
  • 1 pencil box
  • 2 spiral notebooks
  • 1 box of Kleenex
  • 1 box of crackers (no peanuts, please)
  • 1 backpack (big enough for a spiral notebook)
  • Note: 
    • Week 1 of school will be parent/teacher Kindergarten conferences
    • Week 2 students will come (parents invited) either Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday
    • Week 3 students will come all day, every day
    • Parents will receive a letter with more details

First Grade

  • 2 boxes of 16 or 24 count Crayola crayons
  • 2-3 large, pearl pink erasers
  • 1 pair of Fiskar scissors (labeled with name)
  • 1 small plastic pencil box (labeled with name)
  • 2 boxes of Kleenex
  • Backpack labeled with name
  • 4 glue sticks
  • 2 two-inch 3-ring binder “show-off view”
  • 24 #2 pencils (good quality)

Second Grade

  • No binders or pencil sharpeners, please
  • Spiral notebook for journaling
  • Block erasers
  • 1 pair of Fiskar scissors
  • 1 bottle of school glue
  • 24 count or more of crayons
  • 1 pencil box
  • 1 box of Kleenex
  • 2 boxes of #2 pencils, pre-sharpened
  • Optional: Colored pencils and pencil-top eraser

 

Third Grade

Label these items with name:

  • Blunt scissors
  • 1 box of Crayons (24 count)
  • 1 Pencil case
  • 3 pocket folders (pocket on bottom, not the side)
  • 2 wide-ruled spiral notebooks

Do not label the following items:

  • 4 dozen plain wood #2 pencils
  • 1 package wide-ruled, loose leaf paper
  • 1 box of Kleenex
  • 1 pack of eraser toppers

Fourth Grade

  • 5-8 spiral notebooks
  • Crayons
  • 3-5 portfolios (folders) with prongs and inside pockets
  • 2 large boxes of Kleenex
  • Lots of #2 pencils
  • 1 package of loose leaf paper (150 count)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Pencil-top erasers
  • No mechanical pencils, markers or Trapper Keepers, please

Fifth Grade

  • 1 Three-ring notebook for reading (1 ½ inch)
  • Scissors (Fiskars work best)
  • 2 boxes of Kleenex
  • 1 pencil box
  • 2 large erasers and eraser tops
  • 8 spiral notebooks
  • 1 package of subject dividers
  • 6 glue sticks
  • 24 pencils (#2)
  • 1 package of 2-inch sticky notes
  • 2 packages of loose-leaf paper

Sixth Grade (label items with name)

  • 1 plastic pencil pouch holder
  • 30 pencils (#2)
  • 4 boxes of regular-sized Kleenex
  • 1 ruler
  • Crayons (16 or 24 count)
  • 3 pack of 3 X 5 index cards (lined or unlined)
  • 4 packages of college-ruled paper
  • Colored pencils
  • 8 spiral notebooks
  • Medium ballpoint pens (black or blue and red)
  • Highlighters (yellow, red, green and orange)
